Surprise Party

This past weekend I turned 30. Friday night Phil was going to take me out for a birthday date. We stopped at my aunt's house to drop off the kids. When we walked in I heard "Surprise!" I was completely surprised! I had no idea that a party had been planned. I guess it had been in the works for a few months. I really had not expected too much celebration for my birthday so I was really surprised! I even cried. It was so great to walk in and see my family and friends all together. It was a fantastic night! Thanks to my sister, Ashley, who was the party planner. She knows how to throw a great party! Thanks for everyone who came, you all have a special place in my life and I thank God for all of you! I can't say 30 is much different than 29. God has blessed my with a wonderful husband, children, family and friends. I can't wait to see what He has in store for the next decade!

Eggs and Caterpillars

Our caterpillar is still growing. He eats at least 2 whole big milk weed leaves a day. Tomorrow or the next day he should start to from the chrysalis. Today we had a little caterpillar hatch from his egg. He is tiny. Phil took a picture of the two together. The first picture is just the big caterpillar. The second is the two together, notice the back dot below the big one.

Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar

Our caterpillar is growing. Note, I said caterpillar. Unfortunately one of them did not make it. But the other one is growing, growing! It is eating lots of milk weed and excreting much waste. We took this picture last night and I think it has grown more since then. Notice how much bigger he is, since the first picture.

Baby #5

We had our ultrasound about 10 days ago. I am a little slow at getting this posted :) But here is a great picture of our little baby. We are waiting until the big day to find out whether we are having a girl or boy!

We did find out that my placenta attached low and is covering most of my cervix. It is called placenta previa. We will be doing another ultrasound in a few weeks. There is a good chance that the placenta will move up as the baby and uterus grows. I would appreciate your prayers! If is doesn't I would have to have a c-section and probably bed rest during the last trimester.

Raising Monarch Butterflies

Today we went exploring for monarch butterfly eggs. You can find them on milk weed plants. We did not find any eggs but did find two monarch larvae. We carefully brought them home and put them with their milk weed leaf into a jar. In about 10-14 days they should start to form their chrysalis. Right now they are very small, probably about 4 days old. They will grow much bigger over the next few days. I will you posted as our caterpillar grows!

Disappeared

You might be wondering whatever happened to the chipmunk? Honestly, I am really not sure. The last place I saw it go was into our bedroom. I have not seen it since. I think that it must have found its way outside when no one was looking. Phil looked all over our room but found nothing. I also haven't found any mysterious droppings anywhere. I am trusting that it is not burrowed in some corner making a comfy nest for itself. I don't think it would make a good pet!
